StickerStory is a creative journaling platform that lets users express themselves using stickers and images instead of words. It’s designed for moments when writing feels difficult or limiting, and when visual expression feels more natural. By focusing on imagery over text, StickerStory creates a low-pressure space for reflection, storytelling, and emotional expression. To reduce the pressure of finding the “right” materials, the platform includes built-in stickers, doodles, and text tools, making it easy to create without overthinking. StickerStory also integrates the Spotify API, allowing users to attach songs to their entries and connect music to specific memories. A random journal prompt feature encourages reflection and helps users get started when they’re not sure what to create.
Reflection
StickerStory made me think about how much we rely on words to communicate feelings, even when they’re not always the best tool. Designing a journal without text challenged me to rethink what “expression” can look like. This project reinforced the idea that creativity doesn’t have to be perfect or articulate to be meaningful, sometimes it just needs space to exist.
